A former presidential candidate has been caught by the National Enquirer and exposed as a cheater, and the media is having a field day with it.

John Edwards and his wife Elizabeth have already discussed the affair and the family has moved on from it, but now there is a question of paternity involved that would make Maury Povich foam at the mouth.

Did John Edwards make a baby with his bleached blonde whore?  Has he been secretly paying her off?  Why do we care?

Edwards has been off the scene since his wife found out that her cancer had returned after an extended remission.  He is no longer running for a public office, nor to my knowledge is he being vetted as a potential running mate for anyone running for the presidency.

In other words, this is a non story, and yet Hannity and Colmes devoted half of their show (if not more) last night to the story and are even airing a special episode tonight that will focus on nothing but this story.

Media folks?  Wake up.  This is no different from FDR, whose mistress Lucy Page Mercer was at his side when he passed away in 1945, or JFK and his known history of extramarital activities.

Non news.  Non story.  Move on to something worthwhile for a change.
